What is Whole Body Cryotherapy?

Whole Body Cryotherapy is the process of exposing the body to extremely cold temperatures which then evokes an anti-inflammatory response throughout the body, as well as the release of feel good endorphins and a reduction in muscle & joint pain. 

You will step inside the cryotherapy chamber (with your head out of the top at room temperature) with socks, slippers, and gloves on. You will stay inside the chamber for about 3 minutes. Using liquid nitrogen to cool the chamber, your body will immediately go through many processes. In a somewhat “fight or flight” state, your blood will move away from your extremities and toward your core, oxygen and anti-inflammatory proteins will flood your body, and your metabolic rate will increase. 

When you exit the chamber, oxygen-rich blood will recirculate through your body, endorphins will keep you feeling good, your body will burn up to 800 calories in the coming hours, and muscles and joints will feel better.
